Employers Building A Campus Presence :
In addition to posting a job in our database or scheduling campus interviews and information sessions; there are several additional ways for employers to increase their campus presence.
Career Fairs
Attend one of our campus career fairs which are conducted throughout the year and provide employers with broad access to our students. Typically the three major career fairs are held in September, October, and March.
Employer Information Booth
Why not schedule your own private career fair? We invite you to set up a table in Martin Hall during a school day to meet students between classes and promote your organization and any available opportunities.
Employer Information Session
Reach a large group of students by arranging an information session before your on-campus interview date or simply to increase your organization's visibility.
Recruiter-in-Residence Opportunities
Employer-Led Workshops
Each year several employers lead workshops that assist our students in their career development. Topics include resume development, interviewing skills, career fair preparation, making the transition from school to work, evaluating salary offers, the federal employment process, and professional etiquette. If you have any area of expertise that you would like to share, we will be happy to schedule a session at your convenience.
Resume Clinics
If you prefer to work with students one-on-one; volunteer for a resume clinic. Students bring their resumes or cover letters in hopes of getting tips from an employer's point of view. This is an excellent opportunity for students to interact with you on a more informal basis.
Mock Interviews
Meet some of our students while they get an opportunity to practice their interview skills. Set up a schedule with 30-minute interview blocks which includes you offering the student 10 minutes of constructive feedback. We will provide sample interview questions or you may bring your own.
